6 Days Tour from Tangier to Imperial Cities

This 6-day tour of Morocco takes you through some of the country’s most iconic cities and landscapes, starting in the vibrant port city of Tangier, known for its cosmopolitan charm and historical significance. From Tangier, you’ll journey to the stunning blue city of Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains, before heading to Fes, Morocco’s cultural heart, to explore its ancient medina, historic sites, and renowned tannery. The tour continues to Casablanca, where you’ll visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, followed by a trip to Rabat to discover the Mohammed V Mausoleum and ancient ruins. On the final day, you’ll explore the coastal towns of Larache and Asilah before returning to Tangier for departure. This tour combines rich history, vibrant culture, and stunning landscapes for a memorable Moroccan adventure.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Tangier

Upon your arrival at the airport (ferry terminal) you will be transferred to your hotel and you will have free program to explore this bustling port city that was once the playground of international socialites, including writers, artists, musicians and politicians. The city is a lively, cosmopolitan and historic Mediterranean feel, where you get to explore number of museums and sites. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel in Tangier.   

 

Day 2 : Tangier – Chefchaouen

After breakfast we head to Chefchaouen – magical town – a beautiful blue and white-washed Andalucian town nestled in the Rif Mountains. The town is a relaxed, with small winding alleyways and market squares, where the women of the surrounding Rif come to sell their handmade crafts. We will have dinner and overnight at the hotel or riad in Chefchaouen. 

 

Day 3 : Chefchaouen – Fes

After breakfast we will drive to Morocco’s most fascinating city – Fes. We will have a guided tour of the medina with its “souks” (markets) stopping at the gateway of the Royal Palace, the 9th-century Karouine Mosque and University. We will visit the tomb of the city founder, Moulay Idris II. Lunch will be at one of the traditional restaurants in the old medina and then we will continue to explore the Najarine Fountain, the gateway of the Bab Boujloud, the old harem gardens and the Batha Museum. On the way back to the hotel we will stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the city. We can not forget to visit famous tannery where skins are cured and dyed in enormous vats. We will have dinner and overnight at hotel or riad in Fes.

 

Day 4 : Fes – Casablanca – Rabat

Today we head to Casablanca – city on the Atlantic coast. We will make a tour of Grand Hassan II Mosque. In Rabat we will visit the Mohammed V Mausoleum, Hassan Tower, the ruins of Chellah and Oudaya gardens.

 

Day 5 : Casablanca – Larache – Asilah – Tangier

After breakfast we departure from Casablanca driving along the Atlantic coasts to Asilah. It’s a small village of artists, but also fishermen. The Medina is small where the houses are mostly blue and white. After having lunch we head to our Last destination which is Tanger and this will be end of our private Morocco tour. Have a nice trip back home .

 

Day 6 : Transfer to Airport or Port of Tanger

In the Morning (depending on your departure Time) Transfer to The Airport.
